Sue Taylor is best known for her mixed media assemblages made from vintage ephemera & graphics found objects from nature & industry, such as sea life, scrap metal, wood, glass, ink, paint, fauna, flora, feathers, fibers, paper and other up-cycled castoffs. Themes include local California history such as Redwood logging, fishing, railroads, state parks & beaches, vintage fashion, etc. Sue’s favorite design period is the turn of the nineteenth to twentieth century, particularly Art Nouveau, Deco and Arts & Crafts design influences.

Sue lives and works in both San Francisco East Bay and Shelter Cove in Southern Humboldt County. She is a member of the Lost Coast Artist and has shown and sold her work at the Shelter Cove Art Gallery, Umpqua Bank in Garberville and the Shelter Cove General Store Gift Shop as well as Room with a Past in Walnut Creek.
