Walter Prince: Artist

Walter Prince is a Lost Coast citizen who has resided in southern Humboldt since the late 1950’s. He has exhibited an artistic skill with attention to detail in all levels of life: whether as a General and Mater Plumbing Contractor, Custom Residential Architect, Horticulturist, Husband or Friend.

He has designed and built three outstanding waterfront homes in Shelter Cove: mastered the construction of a home foundry to pour his and others extensive work such as his relative in-law Bruno Groth as well as incorporating fine woodwork, stained glass and botanical design.

More recently he has returned to a personal passion: painting. He has formally studied the Historic Masters. The knowledge gleamed has been applied and integrated with his own history of diligent focus to express the beauty he observes in the natural and personal world.

It is only in the last two years that his work has been publicly displayed, resulting in multiple County recognized awards for both Oil Landscapes as well as his Bronze Sculptures.

He is happy to show his work with the other talented artists of the Lost Coast and encourages artisans of all ages to continue to learn and create.
